??? NA and NP even IE written is memorization.

I suspect he is still exam, i always tried to test later in the day so i could have a few more hrs to cram more. Except for my IE written which was at 9AM

Actually in the case of ACL's that is correct because it is inverted.
access-list 102 permit ip 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 172.16.1.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 102 deny ip any any

I agree to some extent, but the NA information pool is so much larger than the NP pools. In the higher exams, you can actually put the majority of the exam topics to use with labs where you can't in the NA. If I remember correctly, there isn't any actual configuration in the first half of the NA test. That doesn't come till the second half. I would take the NP switching test any day over the NA test.

I always take mine first thing in the morning, then go to work. The way I look at it is if I don't know it by now, an hour or two isn't going to help me.

yeah, hopefully he took full advantage of the scrap paper they gave him and put down his subnet table, binary and hex conversion first thing.

Same, I did that for my CCNA before I even filled in the usual my info bit/how far did you have to travel section before the exam.
