Need help on gtx460 upgrade

Thread Starter
I have gtx460 in sli and am thinking of a upgrade, I am stuck if I should bite the bullet I can get two 480's at a good price or buy two 570's OR just buy a really good water cooling system with koolance gtx460's water blocks and try and push my cards a little more!???

I am running at 860/1720-2050@1.0625 but temps get a little high but not in the bad zone tops out at 75c on both.

I know this is not a big problem or anything but I have some cash that the wife doesn't know about and want to spend it on my stuff before she finds out lol!!!

So help me decide PLEASE!

With the amount of power you already have, you should *not* upgrade unless you're getting something very expensive that will really give an improvement over your current setup.

Me, I would watercool and call it good. But I don't know just how much you have to spend on this, if you were going to replace the 460's then I would go at least 580 2x sli. Or you could sell the 460's and give yourself more room to upgrade without re iterating too much of what's already there.

so you don't think I would see much from the two 480 or 570's huh would be the same to me? Like I didn't even upgrade?

I have been looking and the 480's don't seem that far behind the 580's but price wise I can get 480's for about 400.00usd less then the 580's
