Internal PWM Controller?

Thread Starter
I'm in the market for a fan controller (since I apparently ordered PWM fans and might as well take advantage of that) but I don't want to take up another 5.25" slot or have to reach down to my computer whenever I want to change fan speeds. Basically, I'd like a PWM fan controller that can somehow be software controlled from my desktop. Anything out there?

Nope, closest thing would be to get a PWM splitter that powers the fans off the psu but gets the % signal from the board so you can run multiple fans safely from one header.

Otherwise just plug the fans into a 4 pin on your board and use speedfan.....

You may want to look at this:
http://www.sunbeamtech.com/PRODUCTS/Rheosmart/pci.html

It takes the internal motherboard PWM fan header and splits it into two 3 pin headers which are voltage controlled by the PWM signal and it also allows manual fan controls for them too. This should also work with your PWM fans too. Then you can run a splitter off of it to daisy chain more 3-pin or PWM fans if you want.

I think either this solution or the straight PWM fan splitters are going to work the best.

The Arctic Cooling PWM fans only require 1 PWM signal and the rest of them can be daisy chained together for RPM control while still using the PSU for power.

Since you already have fans, might pay to refer to the links on the previous posts.
