Best 120mm Fan

Thread Starter
What would you say best 120mm fan... By best I mean the most quietest and the most powerful.

For now I am stock with delta's fans 120mm x 38mm
Noise level is a little bit more than I would like it to be.

I also tried Enermax Magma, Noise is much lower, but it wasn't moving enough air for me...

Whats your experience?

Well, there isn't a definitive "best" fan because the fan industry caters to a lot of different applications.

You say you want the quietest and most powerful, but how much are you willing to sacrifice on either end? How much noise is too much? How much airflow is the minimum what would be passable for you? Do you need high CFM or high static pressure?

Personally I like Noctua fans because they are quiet but still move a decent amount of air. Sycthe GTs are also good fans that are quiet but don't trade too much performance for low noise.

San Ace 9S1212*401's (replace * with M/F/H) are probably the best, as far as 120x25mm are concerned. Next best would be Scythe Gentle Typhoon's.

If you can stand a good amount of noise, Panaflo M1's (I just happen to be selling two of these) or San Ace H101/H1011's, all of these are 120x38mm fans.
