Physical Copy or Virtual Copy?

Thread Starter
Do you prefer to have a Physical copy or virtual copy (STEAM, Direct2Drive, or any other online site) and why? I prefer physical because I like to be able to hold on to what I have and say this is mine. Sounds weird I know

Digital, much easier to store.

Steam over all others. But if the Steam version has DRM as well then I get a disc version and crack it.

I rather have a digital copy. If I had an actual physical copy for every game that I own and my wife seen it......dude, she would go on a shopping spree to even the score. Damn that!

Whichever is cheaper. I'll just make a physical copy of digital, or digital of physical. I do this for redundancy purposes, since who knows what will happen if/when Steam goes down.

I'd rather have digital copies, unless I'm buying a collector's edition, which isn't too common for PC. They're so much easier to store and back up. Plus I don't need the disc to play.

Depends... I used to go digital everytime but now I have a cap on my wifi connection, Im afraid its boxed for big games now.

Example. Shogun 2 was about 30gb to download... I have a 12gb cap. That was never going to work. Got the box

For smaller games like DOW II - Retribution, I went digital.

I prefer box for games I really think worth having, but usually whichever is cheaper.
