Need help for a ~100 USD Digital Camera

Thread Starter
Guys, I basically have no knowledge on choosing digital cameras atm except for megapixels and my uncle was asking for help so he'd know what to purchase for around 100 USD.

Any tips or suggestion please?

Preferably a digital camera that can do a good 720p 30fps xD

Thanks in advance

Generally it's not a good idea to try to buy a device that does video and takes pictures. You end up sacrificing one for the other. There are very few devices that can do both and for $100 you're not going to find a camera that is going to do both functions well. For something that can do both decently you're going to look at the price range of $400-500 which will be way out of budget.

If he's willing to go that price he'd probably be interested in Canon S90/S95 or Panasonic LX-4/LX-5.

honestly how good do you want the video because at $100 whats more important video or pictures because at that price range your really not going to get stunning quality out of either. but you can get some cameras that will be good enough that you will get by

Well, I'd just like to know what's the decent ones on the 100 dollar budget range.. there's sure to be something outstanding among them right?

What should I look for?

Are AA batteries as good as those flat batteries on the recent cameras?

This got me a little interested:

It at least has a viewfinder that I might use when the LCD goes bust xD

Or how about this?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Kodak+-+...&skuId=1218605

Or how about a 100 buck camera that shoots 16:9 stills? xD

You could always get a cheaper digital camera offside that shoots the same as the 100$ ones, but if you are mainly looking for video, I'd suggest looking into Flip HD cams. They will probably do the best around 100$.
