Are we spending too much on PC hardware for gaming???? - Page 13

I think that the avarage to buy new hardware, it's about of 4-5 years... if you use it for play games... but i think that the new games doesn´t take more requeriments... and also you can play games without all the settings in high mode...

the tweaking part of computer hardware is just as important as the playing games component (pun intended).

also, the aesthetics of the look is also just as important.

think of our hobby as building model airplanes/cars/figurines. only our models can play games too.

I think I'm done going high end. My next upgrade will probably be a down/sidegrade on my video card.

With a console at least you don't worry about games crashing, horrible ports not running properly even if you double the recommended specs, etc.
Also, things just run too hot. Summer is coming and I don't want my room sitting at 80F again.

Not saying I'm dropping PC gaming or anything. I just won't be going all out on it.

I wish my room was 80F in summer. Gotta love those 110*F days.
