Anyone have insight into the amd 7xxx series

Thread Starter
I am waiting it out. I'm going to upgrade my Mother board to a AM3+. I am going to wait on the bulldozer until they get reviewed. And want to get a Highend card from Amd (best bang for buck) So waiting on the 7xxx series. before BF3

This is just supposition, but based on what transpired on various sites AMD will wait for the next generation TSMC's or GloFo's 28nm process, which at the earliest will be operational towards the end of 2011, beginning of 2012. As such, the next gen AMD card if launched in 2011 can only be an OCed 6xxx (much like the 4890 was for the 4870). A 6950 2GB should be near-best AMD card for at least a year.

I think it is much to early to tell. Heck I bought my 6870 on release day and I still consider it a rather new card.
