Not good overclockers for obv reasons when running at x4.
Just read on Tomshardware today they have only had a 60% success rate unlocking x2 and x3 processors for their builds with complete system stability.

Cheers though that's good luck. Wish mine would unlock!!

ive got the b555 am3(quad core) cpu @ 3.7ghz , cooled with a CM 212 hyper
the motherboard is a gigabyte ga870a-ud3.and its perfectly fine under load.
stock voltage, CM GX650w PSU, and im happy

have u check to see if ur MB can unlock cores?
if you are "iffy" about the CPU ,then wait till u get more money.

Btw dude, Would a Thermaltake TR2-R1 or Ultra 120 mm Copper CPU fan be enough for the X4 920 ?

I bought a 555be and unlocked only to x3, the 4th core don't get me to boot.. I overclocked it to 4ghz (1.403v) and CPU-NB 2600mhz (1.203v near stock).. I'm working now on 4.2~4.3 ghz and 2800 mhz cpu-nb.. mobo asus m4a88t-v evo

I'd say get the 555be, it's unlike that you'll not unlock at least one of the dorment cores.. even if you don't, you can always overclock it to 4ghz+..

So guys, Am I missing too much for not having a x4?
what are the big diferences between my x3 at 4ghz and say a x4 3.2 ghz?

Both will be fine. Mine only has 2 92mm fans on it and was cheap 3 cooper heat pipes. Does me good at 4Ghz. Those should be fine for you no problem even with 4 cores!!
