hi all

I really miss the program that came with the xtreme gamer and the xtreme audio its like blue and silver and allows you to change the bass crossover frequency and amount as well as a great graphical interface.

i cannot find the program for xtreme music, does it exist? and if so can someone point me towards it please.

additionally what are the best drivers for the x fi xtreme music? if someone could point me at those as well that would be great

thanks all

You are looking for the Creative Console Launcher. You will be able to find it under Support for the Creative website.

Edit: I'm using the latest stock drivers which are working just fine.

There are also the Omega drivers (supposed to be much better than Creative drivers), they have different packages that may also include the Creative Console Launcher.

They removed the Creative Console Launcher from the latest couple of drivers. I saved all of my old drivers and installed the Console Launcher separately from the old driver pack. I extracted everything from the old driver set, found the setup for the Console Launcher and installed it, and it worked.

When I get home from work I'll check what driver pack has the Console Launcher in it, and I'm sure you can find it on the web and extract and install the Console Launcher like I did.

Glad to find someone else who actually likes the Creative software! I enjoy my Creative hardware and the apps but drivers for Creative are a beast! I have used this download several times that was done by a Creative forum member and it works nicely. Will reinstall all the Creative software and applications including Console Launcher, Mode Switcher, THX Panel and Volume Panel (that is the one I tend to lose from time to time).

I don't bother to uninstall the Creative stuff that is already on my computer. This program does a nice job of finding the newest stuff, deleting the old stuff and installing things as needed. The download mirror requires registering for the "quick download" but if you are not in a hurry, the regular download only takes a few minutes. Trying to search out the Creative stuff from them or other places on the web is madness! Hope this works for you. The instructions on the website seem daunting but really, once the files are downloaded I just hit "run" and let it do its thing. Once installed, I generally find Console Launcher from the Volume Panel that runs in the task tray.
