PC Games make a small fraction of their console counterparts. So get used to "console ports", because PCs are an afterthought for many developers.
The exception of course are games that haven't found their way onto consoles, yet. Like many MMOs, RTSs, and other games that really don't do well without a keyboard and mouse, which consoles haven't adopted as standard equipment yet. These games are still making much more on the PC.
Also, please learn the definition of a console port.
Console ports are when a game is coded entirely for a console, and then converted over to PC. In the case of Crysis 2, the engine it uses will allow for content to be made for all platforms simultaneously. Now, maybe the options and textures, etc, were made with a console's performance in mind more than a PC, but that doesn't make it a port.
While it is not directly a console port, HOW THE HELL DO YOU EXPLAIN THE "Please Press Start" CRAP IN THE DEMO HUH?
While the PC may not hold a demanding share of the market, it's still a part of their market. If there going to give us s**t games, we should have the right to drop them (the developers). If developers don't want to develop proper games for the PC, great for them, they just loss x% of the market share, which I'm pretty sure losing any sales would be significant to them. Companies are in the business to make money, and if they are going to blatantly turn a blind eye to the PC community, then I have absolutely no problem not supporting them.
I'm not being elitist. I'm just being realistic. How the hell is technology going to advance if developers are unwilling to even acknowledge the fact that PC's are a much stronger, albeit harder to developer for (more hardware configurations, OS differences, DX9/10/11, etc...), platform. PC gamers don't go out and buy DX10/11 capable cards for absolutely no reason. The fact that the PC market is just an afterthought for most developers is why we aren't going to be advancing in the field of 3D Graphics anytime soon. Seriously, since Crysis, the only stunning game (graphically) has been what? Metro? Are developers really that lazy / underfunded?
We are essentially still using technology that we had in 2002, yes that's right 2002. When DX9 was released. We could have seen Crysis style graphics back in 2002 people...(ok well at that point the hardware was lacking, but hopefully you see the point...)
My point is, even though we aren't the majority of the market share, how can people just sit idly by, and watch as developer after developer go and turn their back on the PC?
Now, I'm not going out and saying C2 is bad. I'm just not going to get it because of the complete lack of ANY significant advance from the original. In fact, it's probably a step backwards.

(Side Note: I am not one who plays games just for graphics [more of a gameplay / story immersion type o guy], I am just using that as an example for this situation.)
