BF3 hasn't been released yet and they have made that claim, crytek makes it after the game has been released. Seems like they are trying to gain customers by claiming things that aren't true. Seems like a desperate plea for damage control.
I mean, it's blatantly obvious to anyone who plays PC games that Crysis 2 is not their main focus.
Why did they put in place such limitative graphical options ? Now you have to play with command line parameters to change them ? This is clearly a downgrade from the original Crysis. There is no valid argument to counteract this.
Sure, good DX9 is good. But lots of people already have DX10 capable hardware and software (just look at the Steam Hardware Survey), and the game does not even feature DX10. And it does not push the industry forward with DX11 at launch.
DX11 coming later ? Sure, but this alone destroys their argument that they focus on the PC first.
