Awesome review, +1. Only further solidified my opinion toward them so that I might get them myself.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

My roommate is getting some Audioengine A5's in, hopefully soon. Will definitely be comparing the two!

Great review. I just scored some cosmetically damaged Swan M1's from Ebay for an excellent price. I am going to try them out because I really want some Swan Diva 6.2s. If I like the M1's, I will likely get the Diva speakers to replace my tired Definitive Technology BP8B speakers.

I will try the M1's as main speakers, but I will likely use them for rear channels to replace the cheap Dayton speakers I got a few weeks ago.

I am pretty excited. I've been checking every few hours to see if they shipped, even though it has been the weekend.

I am hoping there is no damage to the components. The seller was some Ebay store that sells slightly damaged or worn products. These speakers have some noticeable damage on the front corners where the veneer has been dented or cracked off. The listing said they were "powered on" but had no other indication operation of the speakers and crossovers. If there is any damage, I will just order the drivers from Parts Express, as you can build the entire speaker from components listed on their website.

I am hoping they will be great. I have listened to some serious speakers costing tens of thousands of dollars, but I just don't have the budget (nor the lack of sense!) to spend that much money. For $163 shipped, I think it will be hard to not like these speakers.

Small update. Sorry I haven't been updating as promised--things have been hectic.

Also: my roommate's A5s ended up arriving heavily damaged and we weren't able to do a comparison.
