Hi there I just installed my Noctua U12P-SE2 on my i7 940 and would like to know if these temps look good on stock clocks. Thanks

Idle 35-40
Load 65-70 (Prime95)

What's your ambient temp?

sounds about alright to be honest, most i7s idle at about 15'c above ambient, even 20'c is normal depends on cooler

how about your load temps? like prime95 or intel burn test, thats more important though...

duh, gone blind, you posted your load temps...

a little on the hot side to be honest, how long did you leave it to run prime95?might wanna re-seat your cooler, your noctua isnt bad. what thermal paste are you using?

I left prime95 on for about 3 hours and when I came back to turn it off the temps were at 69. I used the thermal paste included with the noctua.
