Go play benching software. This is game territory.

It sounds like the PC is not for you.

I guarantee if you had a rig capable of maxing out Crysis, your tone would be completely different.
I have a rig capable of maxing out Crysis 1 and I'm not complaining. I am disappointed that they did not include DX11, but it does not take away from my gameplay experience. I know it may not be every ones cup of tea either, but no game is. I'm more of a kind of person that notices these things like graphics and stuff at the beginning of games, but once you get into it, graphics are usually an afterthought to actually playing. Like it or not, us people that have capable rigs are the minority.

You really shouldn't bash it unless you have played it (SP not the demo) and not bash anyone else who maybe can't afford a new PC. Everyone has different preferences. Some people prefer graphics more than other things and some don't. It doesn't make any of us wrong if we feel the other way.

So far I am enjoying Crysis 2 more than I did Crysis 1. I guess I like the urban setting and a little more action in my games, but that is just my preference.

EDIT: a lot of screen shots and vids out there are really hard to judge the game itself on. Most of the pics are compressed and I think it looks a lot better in person than vids and pics I have seen out there.

The smaller maps, the lack of REAL free-roam, even the screen RESOLUTION seems smaller and console-friendly. This coming from the demo AND many HD videos.
How can you really comment on anything when all you've played is the Demo?

The maps are NOT small. Not in the slightest. They're pretty damn huge actually. They don't provide free roaming but few games do.

LOL and how is resolution console friendly?!

I guess his point would be 'why are you obsessing over the graphics options when you can already run it at max?'

People saying they wont buy it becuase of this and that are just sounding silly, fair enough if you "played" the game first and didn't like it, but you cant have a "real opinion" of weather its crap or not if you haven't played it.

Screenies, demo and youtube vids do not count.

I'm very picky, and i also wish it was a PC exclusive with more graphical options, but ya know what...i played it and its still pretty dam good.

You know, you're right. I'll buy the game and love it just because you said so.

Crysis had free roaming. We judge this as a sequel to Crysis, not as just another game. The maps might be long in length but they aren't large in the sense that you can go exploring. And low resolution textures are console friendly, most likely what he meant.

I would suggest you point them to the demo so they can play it. Oh right there was and that is what they are basing their opinion off of. I have the full game, thank goodnes for cdkeyshere.com and getting it for 1/2 price, and there is no real difference, on my rig, between it and the demo.
