Replacing my 5850 for a 6870!

Thread Starter
This is because my 5850 just didn't work well for some reason. I had issues with every 5850 I got as a replacement. So I'm getting a new 6870 in place of my old 5850. Is this a decent card?

If I continue to have issues with this card I just might need move over to the green side. Currently I have an Nvidia card in my rig that works good just not very good for games like Crysis. That's why I'm ask if it's a decent card.

It's a little slower than a single 5870. Not much of an upgrade, but an upgrade none the less. You would have been better getting another 5850 for crossfire. Speaking of which, 6870 crossfire is pretty good. =)

The card is a replacement card so I'll take it. I read it does well in crossfire. I might have to consider that route down the road when the prices really drop on those cards. As of right now I also have my eye on the new GTX 560 Ti to!

Yes sir.
Meh, 5850 to 6870 is more or less a sidegrade. If you had issues with your old card, you more than likely will have issues with your new one. Unless the problem was 5850-specific, which is a very rare case.

And yes, your PSU is more than capable for crossfire.
