But you're right, at least physx is there for those rare occasions when a developer needs some extra funding.
Your only argument that holds water is Cuda.
Tess, outside of Heaven, who cares, that and I only played it once or twice, even when I had my 480 sli set up.
OpenCL, very debatable, one benchmark favored my CFX, the other my SLI set up.
Mafia II, Metro 2033, Batman, Mirror's Edge and the old Unreal 3 that I can remember for now. I have no doubt Havok will be able to replace it in the future as even BF3 has amazing physics destructions from what I've seen so far. It's just one of those extra features
you get for free.
Tessellation hasn't been used in any games yet besides Unigine Heaven yet, but what about the next 1-2 years you own this card?
What OpenCL app were you running? I haven't seen that happen.
I'd also prefer to have 32xCSAA than that watered down Morphological AA look... What a joke that was.
If AMD was one the one with these features, I'd be saying get their card instead. I don't get why it's so controversial; one just has more features.
We all know AMD has had 3D since the 6800s, but good luck trying to find a monitor that supports it even in the next 6 months from now. That's just something that will take time to catch on.
