Guys check trubritar's channel on youtube. He has a classified gtx 590 :O.
We might have a glimpse at its true potential. (still 6990 is better )

All reviews are up and the reviews are killing their cards with minor overclocks. Poor TPU killed one of their cards with a small bump in voltage.

This card just isnt worth it. If you want the best single card go 6990. If you want raw power go sli 580 gtx. Please don't waste your money on the 580 gtx though.

As a first step, I increased the voltage from 0.938 V default to 1.000 V, maximum stable clock was 815 MHz - faster than GTX 580! Moving on, I tried 1.2 V to see how much could be gained here, at default clocks and with NVIDIA's power limiter enabled. I went to heat up the card and then *boom*, a sound like popcorn cracking, the system turned off and a burnt electronics smell started to fill up the room. Card dead! Even with NVIDIA power limiter enabled. Now the pretty looking, backlit GeForce logo was blinking helplessly and the fan did not spin, both indicate an error with the card's 12V supply.
After talking to several other reviewers, this does not seem to be an isolated case, and many of them have killed their cards with similar testing, which is far from being an extreme test.

Yeah, I'm not impressed, I want to be able to o.c my card when I want when I need it and not worry about it blowing up.

Btw, don't buy the 590 you mean, not gtx 580.

Disappointed by evga... Full block and only <30mhz increase >.>. Well i think POV BEAST will be the highest clocked 590.
If u want to see a LIVE burning of a gtx 590 i suggest u check this vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRo-1...re=fe%C2%ADedu
Also the supplied driver is not working, so download the latest from nvidia directly. Still i think the gtx5xx series gave nvidia huge profits, same components and basically same core just a few enhancements/tweaks..etc. And judging by evga bundling 2 cards in 1 box, i say availability is good.

Wow, that's going to be a problem if people keep trying to overclock those.

dammit i should have picked up my friends BNIB 580 for $425CAD when I had the chance. Instead I waited for a card that can't be overclocked, it looks like i'm waiting for cheap 580s when the 680 comes out.
