And like I said, it's a real massacre. So to all those Nvidia fanboys bashing me non-stop, put you feet where your mouth is. Same price, 1000$ against 1000$, 2 cards against 2 cards.

Look at those slides here:

http://www.hardware.fr/articles/822-...s-records.html

Look at Crysis 2560X1600 8AA! 59 fps for the 6990+6970 set-up against 32 fps for 580 SLI! LOL! Double the framerate! Unplayable with 1000$ 580 SLI, but 60 fps with 1000$ 6990+6970!

Green drama-queens.You can argue all day long. But the slides and benchmarks are talking. I was right. I really feel sorry for 580 SLI owners. Paying so much money, and 3 months later, double framerate in Crysis... for the same price.

Thank you all. It feels so good to be right.
Congratulations! You just won a cookie!

I would like to add my $2 and say. Both 6990 and 590 are a waste of money really.
Someone tell me what game/games that's out or comin out that we are going to need to get either 6690 or 590. I say none.
Seems to me these cards where just slapped together just to make more money.

My $2 added.
Thanks.
Game first.

Eyefinity an 3D gaming will actually need 2 of each most likely. Have you seen the fps on Eyefinity reviews? They just suck and all settinsg are not even maxed

Unit... they are not a waste of money ... i mean, you have 570 Sli
If you are one of those users that don't swap cards that often ... these 1 slot dual gpu's are the best bet if you want to have a really good performance in 1 year time for example! Or if you have 2-3 big screens to feed

I had a GTX295 for two years... sold it and bought a GTX580 ... it's a great card but something was missing ... i knew i would end up getting a second so i decided to sell it and bought a 6990 Although if the 590 gets in the way and end up being 10% slower at stock but with big overclocking range... i might just swap the 6990 by the 590 ... so i don't have any color at all, just best performer for the price i'm willing to spend

I know that meanwhile, new cpu and mobo's will come, if i decide to change that, i will keep the gpu and never have to worry about lack of performance in games, for some time

ATI may win the $1,000 battle for 60 Hz gamers, but it's a shame they still don't support 5760*1080 120 Hz.

IMO Eyefinity/3D vision fails until you get monitors with no bezels.
