Open1Your1Eyes0, can you confirm if 590 supply will indeed be limited to only 1000 units worldwide?

I will admit one thing, there are extremely rare occasions that this source has told me any overclocking information in the past. He stated this to me without even me having to ask, to me that says they are planning to build up the marketing by including the fact of how well it overclocks. He did also mention that this card will include new features not seen on previous cards, I was not allowed to state what they are however due to NDA.

This is strictly confidential information that will not be released even after NDA. Even my source is not letting me in on this detail.

Here you go... Using MSI Afterburner and the stock bios.

Too bad most GTX 580s are now just going to be average overclockers because all the gold gf110 chips got cherry picked for GTX 590.

OOOFFFF this is insane!

Ouch though. If this is really $800, the 6990 is a much better buy.

Sounds like a Bios Switch to me. Probably for the 750 OC we saw the other day.

That's better...

20% overclock with the fan at 100% and a bit of voltage. So the other reviewers did not crank up the fan. However 20% overclock is about what I got on my hot GTX 480 and I didn't need 100% fan speed. Looks like heat will be an issue. I'm sure we will see new versions with 3rd party coolers though.

Search better next time. 20% OC on stock cooler already. Just wait for waterblocks results... Coming soon.

Ah okay. Crossing my fingers that it won't be then, it's already just about impossible to get GTX 580s even without the limited supply.
