I wonder how much the "New" Local bus between the GPU's play into the 590's performance as opposed to having to go through 2 SLI busses on say a 580 SLI 2 card solution.

IE I don't have to say how much your memory controller can open up a mobo's performance. Intel wise we all know it...

Now with 2 GPU's on the same 12? layer board Nvidia just may have pulled out all the stops making local GPU intercommunications much faster, which might not be visible to the naked benchmark.

I cannot wait to see more benches to see if performance scales linear or if there is an elbow in the curve where it takes off...

I would love to get my hands on 2 of these in quad SLI madness. I run a 2560* Apple 30" Cinema monitor.

I don't thinks so, NV is using the same bridge chip that was in the GTX295.
