Hmmm which will be the best? My 2 cents is that it will be the Lambo Why? Because it's a turbo engine...

" What the heck are you talking about?!?! This is about GPUs!! " you are thinking...

Ok, what i mean is that, by downclocking a GPU, we loose the equilibrium on a chip ... Some chips react better than others to that.

For what i've been checking the GF110 are way more sensible to down clocking than the Cayman's ...

GF110 get a huge boost if we clock them to higher frequency values than the 772Mhz... The Caymans get a boost but not as big as the GF110's

So this is a chip that likes high frequencies ... and likes power ... no way we can deny that ...

Sooooooo... this meaning ... I think that 6990 is a great card that has a great balance ... The 590 is a freakazoid that once you clock it it will heat your heart!

Better choice between both? meh ... don't know... i'm trying to figure that out ... i think the simple fact that out of the box we won't see GTX590 shine is a let down since most people will think twice before over clocking a 600+ card ...

And as for that car comparison ?

Well basically Ferrari is a natural aspirated engine. It relies on high RPM's to deliver the max power output ... This Ferrari is the GF110. If you limit the engine, the car won't be able to do high RPM's so the engine will not be progressive nor will be working as it was ment to be ... You will never get to the higher RPM's where the power is ...

Lambo Gallardo is the Cayman. Gallardo is a Bi-Turbo Engine, relying on turbos to deliver max power output. The thing is, if you limit the engine, the turbo engine will ALWAYS be a better performer, since turbo's start working at very low RPM's and have their highest efficiency at lower rpm's than an natural aspirated car...

Ehehehe hope you understand what i'm trying to say
Gallardo is naturally aspirated as well....

I was looking at the 6990 boxes the whole time ^^

Bummer ... ok ... Just change "Lamborgini Gallardo" to ... lets say ... Nissan Skyline GTR eheheheh ... mixed both engines ...

But you got the idea

Lol how do you figure. Just because it's not a leafblower centrifugal fan? I mean look at how hot the 6990 gets with a centrifugal and two vapor chambers, not bashing either, just judging by temps. Dual GPUs of any nature will equal a lot of heat. This might work more effectively.

Nvidia took a step in a different direction for this card, it might pay off.

Actually, yes we do. This is OCN and we don't use stock clocks.
Don't waste your time with stock reviews, read websites like this: http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi..._hd6990/12.htm

Thank you come again.

It won't be long. Just saying. It won't be long...

I'm still surprised there are no leaks yet...
