Anyone try lmclmc's files?

I have tried using tpu's guide but haven't been successful. I'm interested in trolio's bios file. It could be that I'm doing it wrong ha.

Tried the RBE and only unlocking the shaders, but that didn't work. I was able to go past the CCC limits with MSI AB but that is no big deal. Only problem with that is I wasn't able to modify the voltages. So I'm stuck w/o voltag modding and shader unlocking.

Use sapphire trixx to mod the voltage....works fine on my Flex edition (although I don't really need it as I never go above 6970 speeds with stock voltage....pretty sure its stable)

There's no such thing as laser cut shaders. The shader control is done in bios by the bios chip. Some cards are bios chip flash disabled, etc etc.

I will give trixx a try. Do I need to uninstall afterburner?

sorry for double post
Sorry I was these last months out of my homeplace becouse work reasons. Ive just logged in by here since then, and just saw messages.

My card misteriously shipped "unlocked" -not flashed-, 1536 shaders. I oc'd it a bit and have it working like a champ at 920Mhz Core and 1400 Memory with the stock 6970 voltage (1,175v). Usually 40º at iddle.

hi trolio,

you can view the bios your card is currently using by loading GPUz and clicking the chip icon with the green arrow next to the "BIOS version" field. Just came across this thread and I own a 6950 FLEX. I would love to have the BIOS you are using

Once GPUz saves the file you can upload it or I can get you my email.
