Procjekt : Sif the Goddess: Build Log"painting case"

Thread Starter
After about six months from when i first built this i have no decided to fully paint my case and get it fully custom and finalized to what i wanted to do in the first place....

The parts...
Motherboard : Asus Crosshair 4
CPU henom II X6 1090T
Memory :Gskill Flare 8 GIGs
Harddrives
One Velociraptor 150Gig Western Digital
One Seagate 250 Gig (took from my old HP)
One Gskill 60Gig Phoenix Pro SSD (This is my first one and let me tell you to those who dont have one GET ONE THERE FASSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTT)

Graphics Cards:
1x Single Slot 5770
1x Dual Slot 5770
Crossfired DUH!!

Two Dvd burner/readers
PSU : 850W Corsair (i call it yellowbird so if called yellowbird then its my psu)
Cpu Cooler: Corsair H50
Case: Corsair 700d

My vision is do a white interior with a black shell....Like an Oreo but with red filling for a hidden suprise center

I finally got the case masked and sanded slightly to give it better hold and some texture to it....IM not a perfectionist i like when cases look damaged and or are damaged gives it that feeling of " ya that has seen some beautiful years " im not all about complete shiny hahh

so these are some pics of the case masked up and ready to go ....

So the first stage is going to be a light coat of prime then let dry for an hour then after that matte white...thin coat and dry and then another thin coat dry that whole process should take about three-five hours

Will post more pics of case painting when i do it tomorrow its night right now and i dnt have a garage to use so ya gots to wait but in the mean time look at what else i did today

Lapped my H50 Cpu cooler--

CPU--Phenom II x6 stock

Lapped ::" WORK STILL IN PROGRESS:"

at 320 Grit

The Lapping is still in progress right now going to get it so shiny...

EDIT : Final for the night Tired class in the morning

Hope you guys are ready to see what its going to look like tomorrow after its priming and such like that i will be taking pics of each layer and try to get pics to look good my camera is not that great i bought it at a garage sale for like five bucks so ya not to great.....

But Should have some more pics up soon of the finalizing of the lapping

And will keep this updated as best i can to the finalizing which should be this weekend with the final painting of the base colors and such like that with the mobo and all that up an runnin in the case...

Thanks for looking comments on anything let me know ill try to be on here as long as i can tonight working on my netbok is difficult for some reason right now hahh...in class no problems but at home doesnt feel right using netbook and overclock.net hah

Thanks Dont delete this please really wanting to show off what im working on lately and finally able to finish up ......

"I WILL BE DOING MORE PAINTING OF THIS CASE WHEN IT GETS WARMER OUT" I have an airbrush and also going to be cutting a panel to show off the interior and such like that more graphic design nothing to crazy NOT SKULLS or Flames that stuff retarded lol just some faddings for coloring and what not to give it a deeper tone of white and lighter tones of the graphite color case

Thanks again for checking out

UPDATE

Look what i did with my video cards for the up coming summer time

Used some low profile Enzotech memory heatsinks from FrozenCpu.com
Painted them with high heat paint

I did clean the sinks before painting with some simple green for about a day let them soak in the simple green/water mixture and then painted them came out pretty nice but yes handling did a get bit mess with placement.....

:Update: Case is mostly finished right now.......just have to wait till i get some rivets and a puncher along with a removal tool to break it down and do the rest of the parts im wanting to base white then go back in with a light grey undertone to darken it up a bit

UPDATE
Finished for now with parts sitting in and ready to go

There will be more pics of the lapping but i have to wait till i can pull it back out again im not using this computer you see in the pics right now on my netbook still.....just been really busy with other things thought this was a free weekend but apparently not......that is what the computer looks like when set up looks good with the white underneath to me

Thanks man its pretty nice i think i love white and black the only way to go with colors in my opinion to many colors and all that neon BS that people use is just ya annoying and pointless to me but that is my opinion its like
Flames on a car giving it what 5 BHP bah
"man if you put lights in your case it will be like 2.5 Ghz Faster trust me man "
hate it haha

but ya more pics will be coming when i am able to get more work done on it soon im excited to finish this build fully gotta get a front panel for this case with clear window or just cut my own with plexi and such

But time will tell thanks again for checking it out

Again the processor is not sitting in there right now its in a case waiting to be lapped might take it to school and ask my one of my teachers if he can help me machine lapp it or something (how sick would that be)

Which brings up a problem that i think intel and amd should do
Lap there processors i mean come on how tight would that be
right out of box Perfection ready to go

haha, yea. go ahead and make your own window. I made my own on my case. check out my thread in the case section. The lights in the pics had a cold cathode in there but that was taken out because of how bright it was. With jsut the LED's of teh fans illuminating the inside it gives it a really nice effect. cant wait to see the finished product!

Oh thats sweet deffinitly will check out i just need to get an outline done soon and get the plexi for it .....then a nice lil jigsaw and boom ready to go excited to finish this soon in the next month or so .... of which im looking at more internal hard drives BUT

i face although an issue with the power cables for the hard drives being to stiff... i am wanting to put more hard drives in this to make out the bays (also because i have three external terrabytes and sick of them having to use up tons of sockets ( there gifts i got i was excited but really wanted to get some internals instead sick of externals there not as good)

But the power connectors are to stiff and are hard to fit the back panel on with out pulling out the connectors first.....Ill take a pic when i get back later ontoday of what i mean

Should i just sleeve the cables and how would i go about sleeving sata power connectors as they are three to a line.....
MY psu is a corsair 850 its yellow dont know the exact model

Thanks for checking it out pretty nice
any suggestions deffinitly worth seeing what you all have in mind of what i should do

I am like i said gettin more fans with white blades that are silent and when i say silent they make no noise

yea, post up a pic of what you mean with the sata cables. And when it comes to cutting out the design, I used a dremel and a steady hand. Gave it a real clean finish that needed little finishing of the edges. I literally just had to take a sanding bit and run it across the cut edge to get all of the remaining chips/ slivers of metal away and ran with regular sandpaper so the edge isnt sharp.

You will need to respray the side panel after the cut but before the plexi glass though. Ace hardware has plexi for extremely cheap. I got a 14"x14" piece for $4. Home depot and lowes and menards were all close to $20 each!

ya glad i have an ace intown here
menards is just like home depot way to much for simple stuff.....

So when you say respray you mean with paint or.... air or a sealant ?

Also did you do any kind of engraving on it ? with the dremel cuz if i just use my dremel that would make it alot easier to deal with instead of a jigsaw to cut out this this metal...

yea i used a dremel as well, i just didint know if you had one or not. And when i say respray i mean repaint. Because even though the dremel will give you a very nice and clean finish, After you sand down the edges to smooth them out and get rid of excess material you will have some bare metal exposed.
