PSU is overkill for a budget system. You probably won't ever go multi-card.... I would look at 500-600w PSUs.

I have the sapphire 6870 and I can tell you that you wont be dissapointed. Mine is overclocked to 1000/1175 and running rock solid.

That is correct.

to the OP you may be just fine with a 6870
but if you drop PSU to a 550-650 unit you will have a bit more money
would definitely suggest a higher end card for a little bit more future proofing for very little additional cost.
