It's not that loud at 880Mhz. AnandTech said 750Mhz on the 590 triggered the OCP already.

Also, can you add: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/nvidia_gtx590

That was already on the list actually.

I forget which review I read it from, but one of them mentioned that there will be about 2000 cards in Europe during the FIRST run. So, that means there will be more than the rumored 1000 made.

Update: I went through every review and categorized them based on single or quad-SLI testing as well as put them in alphabetical. OP has been fully updated. As always please be sure to post any reviews you see missing.

100% agreed

You're right the VRM Design is the Achilles’ tendon.

Also, consider this: If they made it clock better, they would have to raise the price accordingly. Otherwise it might eat up some 580 sales. Or lower 580 price. Not optimal. And it would still come a little short of a 6990 at stock clocks, so would be a hard sell at higher price. So now you have the 590 performing almost like 570SLI and costing similar. Unfortunately having the same OC problems too. They have pushed themselves into this situation with Fermi power consumption. Add the canceled 32nm node and here you are. It's still probably the best way they could do...
No, this is far awy from the best way they could do (from overclocking perspective) think with me what's worse: Keep the segmentation of the market or sell cards that people still will overclock and lets be honest a great part of the audience of this kind of card is looking forward watercooler + overclock. I would like to see non-reference cards with real good waterblocks straight from EVGA, ASUS, GIGABYTE, etc... think with me what cost more build a good waterblock or a monstruous 3-slot air cooler design? It would sell really well paired with beefier VRM design. But the partners always think hey if we launch a watercooled card we MUST charge twice!

Love this card to bits.

If I replaced 5970 on my system signature below with 2x 590's do you think my PSU would be adequate?

Reigns... 2nd raill will do fine ... the 1st ... meh ... will have to handle your cpu, mobo and second gfx ... maybe a little to short on power
