Hey, this is my first time overclocking a computer, well actually building a computer in general, and i was looking for some support on how to mod a case and if i needed to upgrade any of the hardware of this computer...

The case is a Antec Dark Fleet DF-85 and all the pieces i have got on my list are listed below:

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD5-B3 Motherboard
Corsair AX850 Gold Power Supply
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 1280MB Overclocked
Intel Core i5 2500K
Corsair Hydro Series H70 CPU Cooler
G.Skill (3x2GB) DDR3
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
Samsung SH-B123A 12X Blu-ray DVD Combo Drive
OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD
Scythe 120mm Gentle Typhoon 1850rpm Fan <-- x2

Please report anything you may think can help me

1) Change hard drive to Black Caviar
2) You could actually run an AX750 for your current setup (even if you SLI)
3) Have you looked at results of H70? It is a bit better than the top air coolers but at the cost of really loud fan noise.

Check out this link:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261316-29-noctua-u12p-corsair

In particular from DAVCON:

rom what i've read i think it's fair to say the H70 provides better cooling then any air-cooler but that will cost you in noise the fans produce. The H50 is quieter but is outperformed by the top air coolers. The one bonus you have is low profile ram that won't cause any mounting issues if you decided to go with a high-end air cooler. The best air-coolers available are the Thermalright Silver Arrow(an improved version of the Cogage Arrow) and the new HR-02 and Venomous X,Noctua NH-D14,Prolimatech Super Mega/Megahalems(discountinued)/Armageddon.
I finally found the review i've been looking for Battle of the Big Boys.

To answer your question the H50 is even superior to the Noctua NH-U12P SE2.
And i agree with aznshinobi a CM Hyper 212+ will do a great job it's very hard not to mention it when talking cpu coolers.

the memory you link is triple chan your system is duel chan Ie 2x2gb or 2x4gb rather than 3x2gb

as mentioned hard drive wise, I'd say samsung F3 or caviar blacks.

PSU is overkill.

Mother board is also overkill, Get the ud4 put the money you save into something else, (speaking from personal experience and regret) the ud5 offers nothing extra over the ud4 really wont oc or anything else better the SB chips are so easy to oc you really don't need a fancy board to do it.

I would say for that money GPU wise you might be better off getting a 6970 just because of the huge amounts of extra vram.

What is the difference in Caviar Blue and Caviar Black?

I'm replacing the fans on the H70 with 2X Scythe 120mm Gentle Typhoon to reduce the noise output of the H70.

Black is a higher performance drive.
