Help overclocking Phenom II X6 1055t - Page 2

I really think it is the psu and if you got that kind of problem i would say for safety sake, don't go higher on the psu or don't overclock at all, you run the risk of killing not only the psu but also the board and processor.

Yea...but why a 1000w psu? or are you gonna go with a 6990 or a 590? and even still 1000w is a good amount.

I haven't been able to get any reviews on the HEC psu did u buy it yet...also what is your budget? I would recommend you go to www.hardocp.com and check out the reviews they post up for psu's you its better you get a quality 800w rather than a low end 1000w But if you are set on a 1000w for cheap...the Silverstone OP1000 is a good unit

OMG! Scary PSU you have there!

You are getting good advice. There are some really great deals on Newegg for PSU's. You really do not need 1000w. 750 would be great and can handle SLI/Crossfire on almost any card as long as it is high quality, like mine lol
