Quick question on 2600k temps

Thread Starter
So im running at 4.7ghz but my peak temps are high 70's. How bad is it for my processor? My vcore is 1.4v and I have a zalman cnps10xperforma cooler. I encode avchd files overnight so stress the cores quite a bit.

If they are peak LinX load temps, then you are fine.

But if it's everyday peak load temps, then not good. The Vcore is fine though.

Intel says 72.6 for Tcase but there isn't a way to get that without drill a hole in your heatsink and putting a probe in there. Probably not a problem but it would be close to problem territory.

edit- If it was mine I would buy or save to buy a Swiftech of XSPC 220 kit. 150ish for a world of piece of mind.
