Asus Maximus IV Extreme

question about this board:

1- So it has 4 sata 3 ports but i guess they are separated into 2 controllers.. So if i want to create a raid 0 with 2 drive which controller should i use?

btw the drives are sata 3 (6gbs)

If you're using ssds, then I would use the intel ones, which are the inner red ones. If you are using hdds, then I would just use any of the black data 2 ones.

You're better off not running your (2) Crucial RealSSD on RAID due to how it affects the TRIM feature. Running it on AHCI mode is better.

Does switching to sATA/ACHI remove the files from the HDD? Are there any other problems might happen?
