Also check out the load temps and the noise temps

1. The GTX 590 is £100 MORE then the 6990, So for GTX 590 money you can buy a 6990 + water block or a 6990 + little Nvidia GPU for PhysX, So yea some bargain the GTX 590 is

2. There's a GTX 590 Sli review out on Guru iirc and the 6990 Crossfire smokes it

3. Reviews didn't use the 11.4 Beta drivers which have been PROVEN by members on this very forum to offer ATLEAST 20+% improvment leaving the lagging GTX 590 even more behind.

Noise is the ONLY thing you Nvidia fan boys have to use against the 6990.

Bottom line is the 6990 is cheaper, faster, consumes less power and from what I've seen runs slightly cooler AND doesn't go up in a puff of smoke like in that GTX 590 youtube video posted...lmaooo

Overcloking is really the deciding factor for these 2 cards. We know that HD 6990 is made for up to 450W which they claim to achieve that kind of power they needed high quality components. GTX590 in the other had does not seem to have a loot of room in terms of power which could limit people that water-cool.

You have to look at other res too, 1920x1200, 1920x1080 and even 1680x1050. People who plays game on 2560x1600/nvidia surround/eyefinity 3 probably own 580's or 6970's already. IMost people I know who would buy these cards play games on 1080p and 1920x1200. And 3% slower on 2560x1600 isnt a big difference anyway.
Um, what? If you are buying this for a 1920X1080/1200 then you are an idiot. 2560X1600 is a much better test. Either way the NVid card fails. Go with 2 580's for the crown. The 580 is a fantastic GPU. The 590 is a mediocre disappointment. Like the dominant trend is stating on the web, NVid failed, AMD still had the crown.

Honestly why would everyone keep arguing while many of u won't buy/can't afford either of the card anyway. All of this argument is so silly. Btw i wish they used the 11.4 driver in the reviews.

I'm going to start people like this fangirls...All they do is complain about how their sandy parts aren't as sandy as everyone else's completely negating the obvious.

Every review yet done was done on a beta card.

The 6990's currently with those 20% increases aren't beta's.

They're also not on 1st revision drivers.

Thus making your entire point, moot, stupid, useless, boundless.

What about smooth gameplay. Did you see the video of 2 6990s runnning vs 3 580s and how smooth the gameplay for the Nvidia cards was vs the really crappy sttutering the 6990s had?

Believe me, that makes a huge difference right there. Power comsumption lol. That's nothing when both cards are such power hungry beasts.
