[EN] NVIDIA's dual-GPU GeForce GTX 590 emerges, can't slay the Radeon HD 6990 titan - Page 8

Until proper (updated) drivers are released, I will pass no judgement.

Exact same thing happened with the 460, people were saying that it was crap .etc
Drivers came out and the card became a very solid purchase.

people don't learn, reviews and benchies on release are pointless.

It runs hotter, Idles louder, consumes more power AND is slower

Shall I continue to embarrass you or are we done here?

For the cards in a fully stressed status (in-game) we measure just 41 dBA for one card, and yeah, that is actually quite silent. Very surprising to see... well hear.
I can do this all day.

Idle fans are the same, 90% of reviews state that...However at 100% the 6990's can AND do ramp up to 50db...

The 590 stays at a solid 30-41.

Why don't you post the power and heat numbers seeing as you claimed less power and heat?

So, you're focusing on noise on full load to disprove what almighty's saying about power consumption? You can do what all day? Misread? Be a funboy?

I agree and if you re read my posts from last night i have always said the 6990 would come out on top one way or another,

I am so far dissapointed with the 590 and like i said yesterday with its pants power phase design i see alot of these going up in flames as the people who buy these kinda cards will try to overclock them

Heat is in direct conjunction with sound considering the fan has to ramp up...Shall we match audio levels and see how long the coveted 6990 lasts?

Fact is simple: The 590 is significantly quieter by 10-20db's was released with a water-block (EVGA) AND ontop of that, the vapor system has kept the 590 significantly cooler...

I really don't understand why you're arguing heat + noise when the 590 clearly wins on every single review.

I'll give you power considering the drivers are beta atm, when a decent driver is released, you will lose that, as well.
