I think the us senators should be using their time more productively than doing something like this.

It's nice to see the Rats, Donkeys, and Elephants working to destroy everything.

I don't know if you LIKE going through checkpoints, but I am willing to bet that more of the apps users aren't driving drunk. I personnally don't think checkpoints should be allowed, nor do I believe them to be legal under our constitution, but hey, I'm not the supreme court. Still, if I can avoid being stopped and questioned by agents of the government during my day to day doings, you better believe I will.

4 idiots wrote a strongly worded letter to Apple and Google saying a crowd-sourced app that notifies people of speedtraps and DUI checkpoints (the locations of which are already made public in advance) that they think it's irresponsible to have it in the market. It isn't illegal, and the information is publicly available. Move along, nothing to see here.

Saying they're trying to regulate app markets is ludicrous. It's just an attempt to look good by denouncing something. Happens all the time.
Thank you for seeing this logically and not reacting to Dvorak's political fire poking.

Pretty sure I've seen this guy's name/face on a really terrible opinion piece before, but I could be wrong.

You would be underestimating our Government...

Sales Tax isn't enough...

They gotta have property taxes...

Income Taxes

Profit Taxes

And anything else they can dream up, like Air Tax....

You could call Licensing Creation & Operation Tax....

Soon we may see Usage Tax....

It wouldn't even begin to shock me...

They always find a way to turn taxation into a business, anything to fatten that retirement fund & secure that fat pay check...

It's a done deal, the FCC cleared Wireless to do as they please...

AT&T was first to step up and say cool bean, now pay me!

Clearwire & many others will soon follow suit! (Clearwire just changed their contract agreement while I am in contract with them, wow.)

Guys... guys... guys...

We are 'the' internet as you might say since we are the end user.
we are also PC nerds.
And we like our apps.
You know what that means?
The minute the government tries to take away your internet freedom you fight back as a group with every hack, virus, malware etc you have at your disposal until the 'enemy' falls back.

Sure. Let's not voice our opinions because someone has it worse off. Let's accept the current standard because other countries are worse. Are you 4 years old?
