Do I have enough power to do this?

Thread Starter
Hello fellow overclockers,

Take a look at my rig for my question. Question is, do you think my Antec Earthwatts 750w PSU 80+ Silver can run another GTX 570 without pushing it past it's power capacity? That is something I am looking forward to do toward the end of the year when the prices go down a bit for the GTX 570.

Question is, do you think my 750w power supply can run it or do you think it is pushing it to far? Thanks in advance.

Antec EA 750W is plenty of power to run a GTX570.

The Earthwatts is not 80PLUS Silver, it's standard 80PLUS. There are some 80PLUS Bronze versions of lower wattage units, but the 750W is standard only.

Anyway, yeah you should be ok.

Thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it
It seemed like putting in another GTX 570 would push my power limits but I guess I should be fine.

The Earthwatts 750 should be fine for SLI 570s.

yep, it will be fine, i would say even with 2 570's your whole system would be taking about 650watts. so you still have some headroom.

I run an HX-750 with SLI GTX 570's, and in Crysis (High settings and Surround resolution), I get between 90-100% GPU utilization across both cards and only top out at 610W. Usually it hovers in the high 590's to low 600's. This is of course, before factoring in efficiency, so you should be fine with what your unit as well.

Two GTX 570's would be fine on that PSU.
