Do you have any suggestions on where to get a smaller blacklight from?

You wanna buy the material for me? If I could afford it I would be using teak. However, since I am not made out of money, oak will do.

What is the liquor cabinet equivalent of running Crysis? Will it do that?
Sketch looks like it will be a good lookin' project.
Haha thanks.

The first one looks a little smaller than the one from lowes, wish I could see a 360 view of it. However the second one is $150!!! lol

oop didnt realize that price. here is a regular led strip. Ac adapters are available, that with a nice blue should not be too bright.
http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips Code cathodes available too

still looking though. Black lights are a little harder to get in there

Ah ok yea that's kinds the same type of stuff that i was looking at before, pc lights. To get a converter to go from AC ->DC is another expense and a pain but it may be my only choice.. =(

Iv already altered my original design just a little bit. I am going to make the top "hood area" taller. The shelf will still be the same, but now the hood will extend up till the overall dims are around 6 feet. Also, I am going to add 3 wine bottle holders on the side of it, and maybe another 3 on the other side too.

sounds good. I say the cathodes with a converter is your best choice, price wise too. Plus you have so much more color choice. I def like the blue for a nice cool color. I think this should turn out pretty nice. Make sure you think about strength with how big your making it. something like 1x1 in the corners and such.

All you had to do was say 'Crown Royal' somewhere in your thread. You did. Subbed for build.

once complete you should make a full list of needed things and a diagram.

Then we should work and send in some liquor in celebration to fill that bad boy up!

Sorry for taking so long to reply guys. I have been at work on it today and got off the PC early last night to get some "liquid inspiration" for today.

Alright I will go the cathode route. I found a nice AC to DC converter for 15 bucks at frozencpu. And yea the main material will be 3/4" and I have 1x1 poplar for corners.

That would be so nice of you guys to send me some goodies to stick in it. I would love that so much. When this thing is done it is going to be a little mini bar. ATM I am drawing up some final sketches of how its going to look and making my cut list. I will be cutting hopefully most of the main pieces today through tonight. I suppose I will just plop the build log into this thread since im here already and you guys are subbed.
