I never ran it (570) with the 955 at stock speeds.
Even with an SLI setup it was still running pretty well? Damn,...why the hell do people bash the phenoms so much? I'm a regular guy..I don't benchmark whatsoever...so, perhaps I wouldnt even see a difference Im guessing...I just wanted to ensure that when I play BC2, medal of honor, black ops, crysis 2...Im not seeing any slowing down... the 955 seems to be quite a formidable chip if thats the case..I only want to use a single gtx 580 with the chip...but it seems that there shouldnt be any cause for concern...Then again you mentioned you didnt run the gtx 570 @ stock..so, still not sure what to expect

BC2 should be just fine...specially if you are using a 60hz monitor.

CPU bottlenecking is lots of time more theoretical in nature then something you actually see while playing. This is somewhat starting to change, but typically with more cpu intensive strategy titles that will use more then 2 cores. Otherwise yes there can be some bottlenecking but it's a case where with one cpu you are getting 125 fps and with another you are "only" getting 115. Theoretically this is a difference, but it is something that the end user would never be able to notice without fraps running.

I don't know whether it's helpful to tell you now or not since it's been two weeks, just got the Gainward GTX 580 in my 955BE system, and I'm noticing that the CPU is bottlenecking the GTX 580 in Crysis and Crysis 2, I have a new system with an i7 2600k, and I get on average 5-25 fps increase in both Crysis'.

That's at stock settings, I've overclocked it to 4ghz, and it's fine, but if you don't intend on overclocking the 955, it may struggle a tiiiiny bit.

Hope this helps, sorry if I am the bringer of bad news, even though it's not unrectifyingly bad!
