They wouldn't. But if you're concerned, might as well just use silver.

Had not thought that as a possibility, so perhaps putting such a coil in somewhere would be better!
You should be fine. The D5 tank is nice because the inlet and outlet are both well above the bottom of the reservoir. So, unless you have a massive chunk of silver, it won't block the ports.

There have been issues with EK waterblocks that have plating where the plating is peeling off. (thinking maybe it's related to use of pt nuke...not 100% sure though)

Ah yes, ok I do recall reading some threads about that. Don't think anyone ever knew what the exact cause was but it would make sense if some sort of aggressive chemical were used for an extended period of time, and were the cause...

Use a coil...best bet.
(unless you can get some fine .999 silver wire from a jeweler)

So...

After waiting days, and days for Tilatech to "confirm" my order and actually send me in invoice stating it was shipped...

As, after I order the EK Block for my 5850, all I got was an email from Tilatech stating that the order was "recieved"...

But after a week of not hearing anything else, no invoice, no shipping info, no tracking info... not a word from them; I started sending them emails. they don't have any phone numbers on their website which made me a little nervous so I started sending emails on Thursday and Friday; on the assumption that if I did not hear anything from them by today then I would be calling up Pay Pal and disputing the charge, in an effort to cancel the order...

Turns out, about midnight Saturday I finally got another email from Tilatech.

No apology over any delays.

Just an invoice stating my order had "shipped" but that there was no Tracking Info available... so presuming they did ship it out and its on its way, then it looks like I should have all my parts before the end of this week; hopefully within the next few days.

I still need to order all the Tubing, as well as an extra pair of barbs for the GPU Block; and also a fill port and drain port for the Res. But I figure I will wait until the current parts arrive, then I can visualize how the loop is going to be set up and have a better idea of how much tubing I would need and where I'm going to put the two ports...

But yea, just thought I'd share that bit, about Tilatech... seemed a little unusual, that it took them a full week to finally invoice it, and ship it, and still not provide any tracking info..

Guess I'll find out in a few days.

As for the rest of the parts; that I bought from a friend...

He shipped them out about a week ago from Canada, they're supposedly coming in from Calgary. Canadian Tracking Info shows that they were received at his Post Office, processed, and shipped out...

Other then that, nothing... will be interesting to see how the USPS handles Canadian Tracking numbers once its been handed off to them. I suspect it probably already has been and neither have updated any tracking info in their systems...

So hopefully I'll have those parts in a few days too.
