RD 6970 or gtx 570? - Page 2

I don't think it's really worth $640.

580's don't run that hot, just get a reference 580 for $500-

or keep a lookout for used ones going for $400-450 shipped.

If you are fine with the performance of your 6870, and just want Nvidia, the gtx560 is slightly stronger than a 6870 and runs VERY cool and quiet plus when overclocked they easily beat gtx570's stock performance and nip the heals of a 580.

I'm liking my 570s and I run games now with no microstutters at all. All that researching and thinking that microstutters were going to haunt me are now gone. I overclock pass stock 580s and they are running great so far.

edit: http://3dmark.com/3dm11/649837 heres a slightly overclocked 580 sli and my 570s slightly beats it even with lower cpu mhz. Course a fully OC'd 580 sli would do a number on mines though . Not bad for acouple hundred bucks difference though.
My idle temps are 33/28 and loads are 70/68 respectively. I'm really impressed with this motherboard so far.
