Yeah, and it's a dual channel board. It should have like 2 x 2 GB, or 2 x 4 GB, or 4 x 2 GB, etc. It should not be 3 or 6 sticks, but 2 or 4 sticks.

While this might not be the problem, I recommend keeping just two sticks in the black slots and then see what happens.

If so, then it's the power supply. It's also a good example of just how important the PSU is (and why no one should ever subject their system to a cheap power supply).

Absolutely! I recommend the 650W Antec TruePower New. The 550W TruePower New would be fine too, but it has an unusually high price right now.

Edit: Yep, it sounds like the PSU is going out.

Easy,

Antec truepower new 750 or the corsair TX650, you do have teh Corsair HX series which are modular but they carry a premium cost.

Do you plan to SLI later, or do some high level overclocking?

I got a 850 watt PSU when I still had a 965 and a 9800GT, now I've upgraded some things with another gtx 470 coming today and I'm starting to worry I didn't go "thats too much" enough with my psu despite what many people here said.
