No 590 GTX Step-up from EVGA

Well just got my official email back from nvidia stating that the 590 will NOT be eligable for step-up. So much for the program protecting your investment for new hardware coming out...

I can't say this really suprises me at all since the 590 is suppose to have hand picked 580 GPU's however I still think its lame...Expecially for those people that bought a 580 in hopes to be able to step up later...

I guess not I have to decide if I want to grab another 580 and sli them or take a loss on my 570 by selling it on ebay and using that money towards a 590...either way would still be paying like 400 bucks extra....HMMM...I think it will depend on when they become available at the egg.

The main reason that I want the 590 over 2 580's is because I am a Fermi folder on my folding team and with the 590 it counts as 1pc of hardware and I could use both GPU's...

/end rant

You know, I JUST said this in the EVGA forums...

This information has been available since NOVEMBER...That the 590 was releasing in Feb/March.

It's not about protecting your investment at all; you failed to do ANY research.

Even typing in GTX 590; the earliest article is NOV 21st, 2010.

Come on...Had you done ANY research, this would've been obvious.

Tired of people whining when you weren't smart enough to take 10 seconds to do it the first place so, here; I'll do it for you.

Wow,

I mean, I'm offensive, but even I thought that was OTT.

Eh, I agree but, I'm tired of reading how many people think they're getting screwed when, they screwed themselves by not being informed...

Not surprising as the 590 is/was a 'limited' release according to Nvidia.

I really hope MSI gets their hands on some and bangs out an R590 Lightning.

Yeah, because you're clearly god's gift to IT and know everything about everything. People miss things because they are human, learn to like it.

Or, next time you say or do something wrong I'll be just as rude to you as you were to him just because I know something that you dont.
