Thinking about getting rid of my PS3

Thread Starter
I am thinking about selling my PS3 because I haven't turned it on in two months because I mostly play PC games and I don't use the blue ray player. Only titles I would be interested in upcoming PS3 are Final Fantasy games and Metal Gear Rising, but I have had FF13 since launch and really haven't found any interest in it and am growing old of the RPG games.

Also pre-ordered Little Big Planet 2 and have it sitting in front of me still in the shrink wrap because I haven't had the urge to play it yet since getting it on release.

What do you guys think, drop my PS3 and grab a 6950 or keep it.

EDIT: Also I have about 122 Steam games, about 30-40ish of which I still need to play and beat. Also note that when GW2 comes out I will probably play a lot of that and further not play the PS3. But I mostly fill my PC gaming time now with LoL games and some single/multiplayer PC games.

It sounds like you've already made your decision.

Your doing much better than me, I bought my PS3 two years ago, I have turned it on less than 10 times and only played 1 game on it..............I still have it.

Same, it is collecting dust. I turn mine on once every now and then toblow some air through it.

I'm sort of going through the same thing. Last night while sitting at home I just realized how much I not only don't play my ps3, but have little to no real desire to. I'm not sure whether I actually don't like it, or am just getting tired of games. It can't be the second, I'm playing games on my pc almost daily.

Well you seem set on selling it but why not use it to fold? Help the world out instead of just selling it.

I just sold my ps3 and am picking up a 6950 this week haha. If you don't play it, I say get rid of it. No point letting it collect dust when you can have a shiny new gpu to play with.

hook it up in the living room and use it as a media center. For me I could never get rid of my PS3, there are always games that are PS3 exclusive that I want to play. Plus I use it to stream netflix and to watch movies that are on my PC.
