Patriot Viper Xtreme DDR3-2000?

I'm considering upgrading to a 2x4 GB kit, and I was wondering how these would fare as compared with my current 2x2 GB Mushkin kit. I'm not tailoring this for Thuban in particular, since I'm expecting to migrate to Bulldozer pretty soon after it comes out.

Mitching and matching kits wtih different speed/timings is a very bad idea
Prepare to have to downclock to generic settings and sadly have to stay that way

I didn't plan to... I was asking about how the Patriot kit would compare to the Mushkin set I currently have. I'd only be running one matched kit at a time. Sorry if I was unclear.

Oh, I see. At 2000 9-11-9 it should be somewhat short of 1600 6-8-6..... 2000 above CL9 is really not worth it at all on AMD systems as with 1600-1800Mhz and lower timings you can match or exceed that performance, usually for cheaper
