My case is only finished next week ... i must think this through the weekend :x hard choice ... had great experiences with Nvidia, i dont' feel secure going AMD yet ... but i'm trying to convince me that maybe it's the best bet ... so ...

Hard choices ... with all this i just thought about don't going dual gpu at all ... and just get a GTX580 again .... lololol

Really, 590 it's powerful ... but ... didn't make a "click" ...

And clocking the bastard is like playing a russian roulette ... you never know ...
I've been trying the 590 with a friend and at 770 ... the damn thing won't perform better... just worst! lol :x
Wait for a non-reference version. I'm sure Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and Palit have something worthwhile cooking.

well wait a minute.....if the power supply is only capable of 375watts, how in the hell are you suppose to reach 580 speeds?

Yeah ... but when ...
I know MSI won't do any XPTO version of the card ...
I know that a triple 8pin connectors card is on the works without any "launch date" ...
I know that this last will be expensive as hell ...

I mean ... But ... well, maybe i'll just get the borrowed 5850 in my computer for a while ... and when something interesting comes up ... i'll just buy it ...lol

If the temperature tolerances are so tight that the VRMs will blow up if the fan is spinning 5% too low... That's a problem.

I have the feeling that they needed at least 2 more months of R&D to finish this card ... dont' you guys?

They should have made it long as the 6990. At least that would give more room for more power phases.

Or they could just use quality parts, instead of the cheap ICs they did use.

Yeah these cards are supposed to be overclocked. If the phases are truly the culprit, that is disappointing.

Even still, that wouldnt help the fact that 4+2 phases is horribly inadequate for a guzzler like the GF110 with 512sp.

I mean, you know how well 4+2 phases do for GTX 570's when overclocked.

No, this was an on-card VRM failure.
