Makes sense. So what I'm understanding from all this is: SSDs have a limit to how many times their blocks can have data written to them? Obviously a benchmark is going to take one or more of these cycles on a given number of blocks thus shortening the life by that much, right?

I already own a 32GB Super Talent SSD model #: STT_FTM32GX25H
I'm rather certain this is not a Sandforce driven SSD, but I have noticed what you're talking about when I clean the drive and re-image it. The SSD I have now has dramatically decreased in performance over the years (mostly happened when I tried to Defrag it.. LOL YEA I KNOW!) Anyways, by writing zeros to it I notice it does get noticeably faster. As a result I've been re-imaging it with a base image quite regularly, not only for the SSD but I do it anyways to keep windows running smooth.

Also another question: I use "Hard Disk Wipe Tool 2.35.1178" to write 0's to my drives, mainly because Super Talent doesn't offer a bootable program to do it like most drive companies. Have you ever heard of this program, and what do you think of it?

The Windows Experience Index doesn't write as much data to the SSD as some other disk benchmarks. I ran it on my system with Intel X25-M G2 120GB. Before WEI, there was 57.16GB Host Writes. After WEI, there was 58.38GB Host Writes. That makes for just around 1GB of writes. Compare that to 5GB with AS SSD. CrystalDiskMark, you could kind of adjust how much "damage" you inflict on your SSD. The default 5 runs probably writes around 20~30GB of data to your drive.
