Overclocking HD 6990

Thread Starter
Soon i'll pull the trigger on a dual gpu. gtx590 or a 6990, still deciding which to get for pure performance @ 1080p.

One of my deciding factors is overclocking headroom.

HD 6990 owners, what is your highest stable core and memory clocks? i see that only downside of 6990 is 5ghz memory (5500Mhz on 6970). Is it possible to overclock 6990's memory to 5500mhz or to anything close to it?

I'm also wondering what is the highest possible core clock on these cards without touching voltage (on stock air cooler)?

thanks

I've got mine stable at 895MHz (both GPUs) and memory clock at 1400MHz. Without switching the BIOS. Ordered my water block today it will be here next week and I will attempt to go a bit higher.
