[inCrysis] Crysis 2 Advanced Graphics Application - Page 6

Anyone run into any issues after using this tool? I now get flashing DURING the intro screen EA, Cryengine 3, nvidia logo, and in the game itself. Even with Radeon pro working. It was workin great for the past 2 days until i used the 1.5 version of the tool

I tried deleting the autoexec file but the flickering still happens.

I found that I have to change the brightness level each and every time I start the game, it doesn't matter where I set it as long as I change it. After I apply the setting the flickering stops.

i dont agree with it....
crysis 2 is a gud game....
and frankly i wasn't hoping for even this level of gfx and optimizations when i heard crytek is going multiplatform....
so i still feel gud as im getting a non ported crysis sequel which is better than having a crappy port or no game for pc at all....at least crytek till now has not behaved like many other producers...who make console exclusives or release pc version after 1-2 years and even then dont optimize it.....
in all these respects i dont mind lower gfx for a gud game....
and its my request to u(i think most will agree to me) that we want to see future crysis titles on pc,so please dont make people join such cause which may reduce the possiblity of crysis 3 on pc......mad.gif
as u know nowadays pc game devs just need a slightest bit of excuse to stop developing games for the pc platform........mad.gif

and no offence i know crytek did not deliver what it promised....but seeing the trend it was going to happen.... frown.gif

if a ported crysis 2 is what i get then they can keep it

I just saw the visuals for crysis 2, and from what I've seen, it does look better than the original.

OK i did some intense testing and i'm not quite done but i managed to find a spot i liked. The ONLY thing i didn't like is how the sky blur and shutters like MOTION movement. It looks great when MOTION Blur is disabled but there is a bug when you use that mode. When you aim it gets stuck on your screen like 3 seconds while you reload and disappear. I think this game likes Blur movements and there is no bug when you enable it.

This is my sweet spot setting for now but here is the problem. The SKY has like weird movements and shutter. We need to find a way to fix this without having to disable Motion Blur. Cuz it seems like the game doesn't like Motion Blur disabled. Especially having MSAA and edge AA on same time cuz it's multisampling both causing the bug too i suppose.

This game doesn't like triple AA together, just a theory. Here are screens i am annoyed with the sky. The rest is cool. I just wanted to see if we can fix the sky somehow to stop doing a little blur movement and flicker. I ain't using SLi!

BELOW is my settings.. Next is the pictures,i marked what is bothering me. Hard to capture it but could have recorded it. There is movement blur in the sky when you move and look. QUITE annoying.

*this is my sweet spot for now* Only if i could get rid of the motion blur but there is a bug ingame when i do. I need to still find my sweet spot then ugh.

Any ideas i would appreciate help. I already posted this too in steam forums towards WADSIE the guy who made the config and hope to get some input from him. There is a 1.6 coming later for SLi users and Crossfire users and more features again. Seems like the config is blocked for Multiplayer and nobody cannot use these settings but you can have FOV change unfortunately. Wish there is a way to disable bloom and blur for MP. Who knows we'll find a way.

If anyone use 1.5 version and have same results by looking at the sky and see weird blur movements and objects and found a WAY to fix it? Please holla!

Good settings but i would lower the HDR and Bloom just a TAD bit. I like mine at 0.5 and 0.4 but lower is GREAT TOO. As long you have really perfect settings. I like 0.2 and 0.2 most of time. Indoors for some reason looks perfect but outdoor is tricky. There is a hidden background that causes some strange EDGE blur if you got motion blur. I wonder what causes that. I am not very aware with Cryengine 3 compared to Cryengine2 in Crysis 1.

I notice you have HD RADEON. I remember reading in another forum in steam they have flickers cuz of same card as yours plus renaming crysis 2 to bioshock works or something they had to get rid of it.

Those aren't my screenshots, I just saw them from another forum. But yeah, I'll give this game a shot once I get time to get it.

Some question guys:

1) What is SSAO and what does it do? It dropped my fps by 20 and did not notice much difference.
2) Field Vision and Movement what do they do? Increasing them drop performance?

SSAO is ambient occlusion. I guess in terms of what you'd notice: shadows interaction between objects. You might not notice if you run through it but if you look closely you should notice there are better shadows between say like a desk and a wall or bed and the ground.

FoV is the angle of horizontal sight. I tried it the console command in my autoexec and I don't think it worked for me...Not sure about movement FOV

If you guys remember RAY from steam. He originally did a config for us when the demo came out? Well he made a config for us for the crysis game now. I have to confirm that this config works better than the one that's hosts on this one because it's buggy.
