It's just so handy having one of these around!

It's back!

Need to do a project on p2p networks, but how do we do a real implementation??? Oh I don't know....we could use my cluster

Sorry, I just put it back together and I was feeling the need to show off....again. For those of you who haven't seen it, that's a tower of 8 Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, the good 775 kind. There's more, just not enough power...yet.

Last used before I moved to run 16 CPU architecture simulations at a time (speeds up a project!), now I will be using it to simulate a p2p project I'm working on.

love it! One old p4 may be out of date string a bunch together and now you have something. My work is upgrading every computer in the building which is about 125 computers to brand new stuff running windows 7 (that is turning into a fun project) and I wanted to get the old stuff for something similar. Sadly despite them owning them all they are sending them back. Probably got some discount for sending the old stuff back so they can mangle it and recycle it.

Or a tax write-off for recycling?
