Having a water cooled PC off of Craigslist that may have been put together by a monkey is the worst idea for someone not fluent enough in liquid cooling to take it apart and rebuild it.

You're just asking for a leak and fried components.

Have you tried Ebay? Craiglist is wack.

Build your own 100%.

I like TwoCables analogy about having your own child or adopting one. It's so true.
Quote:
To me, it's like the difference between having your own child and adopting one; there's a special bond between your own child that can never be had with an adopted child. This is because you created the child whereas if you adopt a child, then it's someone else's.

I looked at this new Craig's List ad, and I have one thing to say about it: this guy isn't very computer-savvy.

Plus, he doesn't even know which power supply he has. Either that, or he doesn't understand the importance of it because all he says is "850 WAT QUAD SLI/CROSSFIRE READY PLUS 80" (he can't even spell "watt" correctly).

Finally: he doesn't know how to take screenshots. Instead, he takes photos of his monitor.
It's a computer!

I agree, and you do need to know a bit about water cooling to be able to maintain or change the loop.

As for the loop, he has a T-line running into the pump outlet rather than on the suction side. He also has a res anyway, so why the T-line? Not convinced by that.

I can forgive him the spelling and grammar issues, especially if this is written by someone for whom English is a second language. If I were to write something like this in Spanish it would probably sound the same.

However you are right about the lack of knowledge, which would worry me as a potential buyer. A lot. Almost like he "acquired" this rig and is trying to sell it? Probably not, by why take the risk.

rawrjaay, if you are determined to buy a pre-made / second hand you will get a better deal from someone who knows more about their gear, for one you can be more confident that it will work well, and they will have a better idea of what it is worth.

jesus christ it seems nobody sticks to original question. Dude has no cash wants to trade mac for one of those. Yes, its a good trade for either cause mac sucks for gaming period.

I would however, take some peoples advice and stray away from watercooling built by some one else. You could always take it out yourself and put a nice noctua(bad spelling) air cooling in there and you good to go. Mac pro for decent x6 gaming rig is definitly a good trade. Im not saying the guy is legite I just cant tell you that info, however bad spelling does not mean scam. I have horrid spelling and I never scamed a day in my life on c-list.

My advice be cautious but yes it sound like great deal. To others who love to flame and jump off topic How about just answering the damn questions? Really?!
