Modem taking forever to "accept" router - Page 2

Through Bellsouth DSL

I have a Modem going to a Router (Cisco Standard wireless G, it looks like the E1000 but it's not it)

2 other computers connected wirelessly to this router
1 computer wired to this router.

Im wanting to replace the old router, with a cisco e1000

Old Linksys Model Name:WRT54G2 v1.5
New Linksys Model name: E1000

Modem is a Motorola 2210-02

This modem uses 192.168.1.254 (netmask 255.255.255.0) by default, according to the manual. Which means you probably have an address conflict with the router. Change your new Linksys router to use some other IP address range, like 192.168.2.1 (netmask 255.255.255.0).
