Hey guys I wasn't sure where to post this question at so I am sorry if i shouldn't have posted it here, there is a problem I have been having with my ASUS G60VX laptop, when I watch youtube videos every few minutes I hear a ERRRRGGGG noise thats all i know how to describe it in the audio, as if everything locks up for a millisecond and then comes back to sync, this happens with games I play as well, I was wondering if anyone may know what the problem could be

specs

Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 2.13ghz
Nvidia GTX260M 1GB GDDR3
283 GB 7200RPM HDD
4GB DDR2 RAM

Any help I am grateful for.

A noise like that sounds like the HDD or optical drive. Could be the fan too. Just basic guesses.

Possibly a bad fan. If you're putting load on the proccessor/GPU, of course making it run hotter, the fan will run, and if the fan is bad it might make a noise. If the fan wasn't adequately cooling the laptop, it would overheat and lock up. Do you have a warranty on it? If you feel confident enough to replace the fan yourself, you could do that, too.

Its a noise that comes from within the OS which comes out of the speakers and feels like a big spike of usage or something, I have monitored my temps and nothing is over heating cpu (63c MAX) gpu (82c MAX) HDD never goes above 40c, so I just don't know what's going on, I have wipped my HDD and everything and it keeps happening and it feels like it it altering my performance
